Air Fryer Breaded Pork Chops Recipe

Servings: 4
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 12-15 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless pork chops (¾ to 1 inch thick)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian-style)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional but recommended)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the breading station:
    • In one bowl: add flour, seasoned with a little salt and pepper.
    • In the second bowl: beat the eggs.
    • In the third bowl: combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese (if using), paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Bread the pork chops:
    • Dredge each pork chop in flour, shaking off excess.
    • Dip into the egg, coating fully.
    • Press into the breadcrumb mixture, coating both sides and edges. Press firmly so the coating sticks well.
  4. Spray both sides of the breaded chops with olive oil spray. This helps crisp them up in the air fryer.
  5. Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer (cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding).
  6. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through. Internal temp should reach 145°F (63°C).

Tips:

  • Thicker chops may need an extra 2–3 minutes.
  • Let them rest for 3–5 minutes after air frying to keep them juicy.
  • For extra crispy coating, use panko breadcrumbs instead of regular.

Serving Ideas:

  • Mashed potatoes or roasted veggies
  • A simple side salad or coleslaw
  • Apple sauce or honey mustard for dipping
