Cheeseburger filling: Keto Cheese Stromboli
1 tbsp. ghee or butter(15 ml)
1 small onion, diced (70 g/ 2.5 oz.)
2 cloves garlic, minced
400 g ground beef (14.1 oz.)
1 tbsp. Dijon mustard (15 g/ 0.5 oz.)
2 tbsps. Sugar-free ketchup or tomato paste (30 g/ 1.1 oz.)
Half sea salt, or to taste
1/4 ground black pepper, or to taste
1/2cup sliced sugar-free pickles (78 g/ 2.8 oz.)
4 slice provolone, Monterey Jack, or cheddar cheese (113 g/ 4. oz.)
Dough Keto Cheese Stromboli
1 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella (170 g/ 6 oz.) – use low-moisture, part-skim, shredded mozzarella cheese; not fresh mozzarella.
2/3cup almond flour (66 g/ 2.3 oz.)
How to prepare Keto Cheese Stromboli:
1 Take a skillet over medium-high heat and grease it with ghee or butter.
2 Now add chopped onion and sauté well.
3 Now add minced garlic and cook for one minute only.
4 In the same skillet add ground beef and cook well till it looks brown in colour.
5 Now add in this tomato paste and mustard and stir well till well combined.
6 Add salt and pepper to taste and cook it for 5 minutes.
7 Now we have to preheat our oven to 180C.
8 Take a microwave bowl and add shredded cheese and melt it for 1 minute or till it melted well.
9 Remove from the oven and add almond flour and with the help of a scoop mix well and make dough.
10 Take two pieces of parchment paper and roll the dough into the between of the parchment paper and make a large wrap.
11 With the help of a spoon add the cooked cheeseburger meat mixture into the centre of the dough wrap.
12 Now add sliced pickles.
13 Now top it with cheese slices.
14 With the help of a knife cut the dough wrap about 1 inch (2 cm) apart on the long sides of the dough.
15 Now fold the strip of the dough diagonally overfilling.
16 Now bake it for 10 to 15 minutes or till it cooks well.
