Make Ahead Method:
-
Prepare the ham and cheese pockets as directed in the recipe, but do not cook.
-
Individually wrap each pocket with parchment paper and place in a freezer bag.
-
Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
-
Cook the pockets by removing the parchment paper and cooking them seam down in the air fryer for 5-7 minutes at 380 degrees Fahrenheit until the cheese on top is melted and bubbly.
Freezer Instructions:
-
Prepare ham and cheese pockets as directed in the recipe, except don’t cook.
-
Place in a freezer bag and freeze for up to 3 months.
-
To cook from frozen, put the pockets in the air fryer, seam down, for 5 to 7 minutes at 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
Storage And Reheating Instructions:
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees Fahrenheit and heat for 1-3 minutes until crispy.
Pro Tips:
- Be sure to warm the tortillas before use. Otherwise, they make crack when you fold them.
- Make sure all the shredded cheese on top is pressed down into the soften. This holds it in place so it doesn’t fly around in the air fryer.
- The air fryer I used was the Instant Vortex Plus 6 quart. Since all air fryers are different, you will need to adjust the cook time based on the air fryer you are using.
