Servings: 4
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 12-15 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless pork chops (¾ to 1 inch thick)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian-style)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional but recommended)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 eggs, beaten
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- Olive oil spray
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Prepare the breading station:
- In one bowl: add flour, seasoned with a little salt and pepper.
- In the second bowl: beat the eggs.
- In the third bowl: combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese (if using), paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Bread the pork chops:
- Dredge each pork chop in flour, shaking off excess.
- Dip into the egg, coating fully.
- Press into the breadcrumb mixture, coating both sides and edges. Press firmly so the coating sticks well.
- Spray both sides of the breaded chops with olive oil spray. This helps crisp them up in the air fryer.
- Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer (cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding).
- Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through. Internal temp should reach 145°F (63°C).
Tips:
- Thicker chops may need an extra 2–3 minutes.
- Let them rest for 3–5 minutes after air frying to keep them juicy.
- For extra crispy coating, use panko breadcrumbs instead of regular.
Serving Ideas:
- Mashed potatoes or roasted veggies
- A simple side salad or coleslaw
- Apple sauce or honey mustard for dipping
