Golden Crispy Air Fryer Bread Rolls Fresh in Minutes

There’s nothing quite like a freshly baked bread roll. While buying baguettes from the supermarket or bakery is great, they often go stale by the next day, losing that delightful texture and flavor.

That’s why I love part-baked bread rolls from the supermarket. You can take out exactly what you need, bake them fresh, and save the rest for another time.

Air Fryer Part-Baked Bread Rolls

Cook part-baked bread rolls in the air fryer in just 5 minutes for a warm, crispy, and golden crust—perfect for breakfast or lunch!

There’s nothing better than the smell of fresh bread wafting through the kitchen. While bakery-fresh baguettes are wonderful, they tend to lose their softness quickly. Instead, part-baked rolls allow you to enjoy fresh, warm bread whenever you want.

Why Use an Air Fryer?

We love the part-baked rolls from Aldi, so I decided to try cooking them in the air fryer instead of the oven. The results were incredible!

How Long to Air Fry Part-Baked Bread Rolls

The standard oven instructions recommend baking at 200°C (392°F) for 8-10 minutes. In the air fryer, I found that they cook perfectly at 200°C for just 5 minutes.

For smaller dinner rolls, 5 minutes is ideal. If you’re air frying larger baguettes, break them in half to fit, then cook for about 6-7 minutes.

Since air fryers tend to cook faster than conventional ovens, many supermarkets now include air frying times on their packaging. If yours doesn’t, a good rule of thumb is to use about 75% of the recommended oven time and check for doneness. If they’re not fully cooked, continue at 1-2 minute intervals until golden and crisp.

The results were impressive—crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside. If you haven’t tried this method yet, now’s the time!

Can You Air Fry Frozen Part-Baked Rolls?

Yes! Some supermarkets only sell part-baked bread rolls frozen, but they work just as well in the air fryer. Simply follow the same 75% rule based on oven instructions. If they’re still undercooked, air fry for an extra minute at a time until they’re golden and perfectly baked.

Ways to Enjoy Part-Baked Bread Rolls

These versatile rolls can be used in countless ways:

  • Breakfast: Spread them with butter, jam, peanut butter, or any of your favorite spreads.
  • Air Fryer Breakfast Roll: Cook everything—bacon, eggs, and the bread—right in the air fryer!
  • Lunch: Fill with ham, cheese, or any preferred sandwich fillings.
  • Buffalo Chicken Roll: One of my favorites—cooked chicken, grated cheese, and buffalo sauce for a spicy, delicious meal.

No matter how you serve them, air-fried part-baked rolls make a fantastic addition to any meal!
